Global warming is real. A chunk of ice nearly the size of Manhattan has broken away from Ellesmere Island in Canada’s northern Arctic, another disturbing result of warmer temperatures changing the polar frontier.

Cracks in glaciers. Detached ice shelves. Record loss of Arctic sea ice this summer.
According to experts, these changes are irreversible under the present climate. Not only are rare ecosystems threatened by the rapid disappearance of the ice shelves, there are dangers posed to shipping routes in the Arctic region.
More importantly, will warmer temperatures and changing climate translate into higher sea levels, and torrid weather patterns and a submerged homeland? Our recent past has shown that these are real possibilities, real threats. Think of all the property damages and human losses which have been wrought by Katrina and Gustav.
Hence, the answer to the question ‘Is your life at risk?’ is self-evident.
Now, scientists claim the main cause of man-made warming and melting ice is the burning of oil and other fossil fuels.
So what will you do to save your life? This rhetorical question can only be answered by you, honestly.
